Sarah Glenn-Smith, MBA, Ph.D.
President and CEO, The Learning Center for the Deaf
Dr. Sarah Glenn-Smith serves as President and CEO of The Learning Center for the Deaf and is a Board Member of TLC Global. Appointed by the MA Senate President, she also serves as Commissioner of the Massachusetts Commission on the Status of Women. Previously, she was CEO of Kaleida Health in New York and COO of PLS 3rd Learning, an international education technology company. Dr. Glenn-Smith has held several executive leadership roles in healthcare management. She holds a Ph.D. in Conflict Analysis and Resolution from Nova Southeastern University and an MBA. Her spouse and child are deaf.

Kathy Vesey, MA, MBA
Board Chair, The Learning Center for the Deaf
Kathy Vesey is the Board Chair of The Learning Center for the Deaf and a Board Member of TLC Global. She is the retired Director of the Gallaudet University Regional Center East and has served on the boards of several Deaf organizations, including MSAD, DEAF Inc., and the New England Home for the Deaf. Ms. Vesey is a deaf professional with a strong background in advocacy and leadership. She holds both an MA from Gallaudet University and an MBA from Boston University.

Carol Hollingsworth, BFA
Board Member, TLC Global
Carol Hollingsworth serves on the boards of TLC Global and Visions Global Empowerment. She is a Fellow and Partner of the Harvard Advanced Leadership Initiative. Carol is an active parent and volunteer at The Learning Center for the Deaf and a former Creative Director in marketing communications within the cable television industry. She is the mother of a deaf child.

Val Hollingsworth, MBA
Board President, TLC Global
Val Hollingsworth is the President of TLC Global’s Board and Vice-Chair of the Board at The Learning Center for the Deaf. He also serves on the board of Visions Global Empowerment. Val is Chair and former CEO of Hollingsworth & Vose Co., a global manufacturer of advanced materials, and a Senior Fellow of the Harvard Advanced Leadership Initiative. He holds an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth and is the father of a deaf child.

Sneha Harsh, Ed.M.
TLC Global Advisor
Sneha Harsh works as the Advancement and Data Coordinator at Nyaka, a nonprofit organization supporting vulnerable children in rural Uganda. She holds a Master’s degree in Education, specializing in Learning Design and Technology, from Harvard University. Sneha previously worked as a Strategy Manager and Research Specialist at Harvard’s Center for Digital Thriving. In India, she contributed to advancing education for blind children through her work with the Ek Kadam Aur Foundation.

Mary Grace Hamme, MS, BA
TLC Global Advisor
Mary Grace Hamme is a licensed bilingual speech-language pathologist at The Learning Center for the Deaf (TLC) and has been involved in Visions Ethiopia since 2012. She is board member and current secretary of Visions Global Empowerment and has served as Chapter Director for both Rochester (NY) & Boston (MA). While leading the Visions volunteer teams in Ethiopia each summer, her commitment and passion has drawn others in the field of Deaf education to become involved. Mary Grace holds a B.A. in Communication Disorders from the State University of New York, New Paltz and an M.S. in Speech-Language Pathology from Nazareth College. She is fluent in American Sign Language (ASL).
